Australian faces Bali Court for forged travel document

An Australian national was produced in the Denpasar district for his involvement in drug charges and for trying to abscond from Bali with false documents.

The accused Shaun Edward Davidson has stolen the travel documents of two men and was arrested by Australian Immigration officials.

He was arrested two months ago by immigration officials.

According to the Prosecutor Ika Lusiana, said that Davidson used fake passport to move out from Bali. He obtained by paying Rp 1.5 million to the local guy.

The Court may sentence seven years of prison to the Australia, if he is found guilty in the case.

Davidson entered Indonesia last year on January 28, to appear before Perth Magistrates court in connection with the case related to drug selling or supplying.

The further hearings of the case will be held in the month of July 2016. Davidson is in the police custody.
