This month, the Province of Ontario has continued its regular French Speaking Skilled Worker Class under the Express Entry stream. On the 13th of December, 13 applicants were given invitations to apply for Provincial Nomination for Permanent Residence.
Before this, 45 invitations were issued on the 6th of this same month for Invitations to apply for Provincial Nomination for Permanent Residence. So far, a total of 58 invites have been issued this month under the French Speaking Skilled Worker Class.
This year, the French Speaking Skilled Worker Class has been really active having issued 1,609 Notifications of Interest on an almost weekly basis in the draws since the year began till date. Just in November, Notifications of Interest were issued 5 times under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.
The highest number of Notifications of Interest issued this year has been from the three Immigration Streams in Ontario that are linked to the Express Entry system and include the Skilled Trade Stream and the Human Capital Priorities Stream.
The Express Entry system controls all the candidates under the three Federal High Skilled Immigration Programs which oversees the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and the Federal Skilled Worker Class.
If an applicant receives a Notification of Interest and applies for Provincial Nomination successfully, he or she will be awarded an additional 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking Score. This is already a huge assurance of their success in the Express Entry pool.
It also guarantees them an invitation to apply for Permanent Residence in Canada by the Federal Government.
French Speaking Skilled Worker Class
In this stream, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program is allowed to search the Express Entry Pool for qualified candidates who speak French and are very proficient in the English language.
In order for the OINP to consider a candidate for a Notification of Interest, the candidate must be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class or the Federal Skilled Worker Class and also meet specific criteria specified by the Province.
The minority population of Ontario is vast and is French Speaking. The Ontario province is of the opinion that the French Speaking Skilled Worker Class will stand by its decisions to increase the population of the people who speak French in Ontario by 5% of the provinces entire community.
