Nova Scotia reopens New Applications for Express Entry Category

Nova Scotia renewed its already closed express entry category on Saturday, 17th November. The well-known category otherwise referred to as category B paved the way for up to 225 new applicants.

This system is one of the immigration ways permits the Atlantic Canada province to select candidates from the Express Entry system of the federal government for Canadian PR.

The Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for three high skilled programs in the Canadian Federation which are the Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class, and Skilled Trades Class.

The relevance of Category B

Category B is well known in the Express Entry system as it does not demand any work experience as a requirement to apply. A comprehensive ranking score (CRS) is not also required for the application. However, an Express Entry applicant with 600 CRS points can apply for Canadian permanent residence irrespective of his previous ranking score.

Diverse Options for Nova Scotia Express Entry

Apart from the Category B option of nomination which attends to applicants as they come, irrespective of ranks and work experience, other options are Labour Market Priorities Stream, Category A, Express Entry Stream, and the Nova Scotia Experience. The Labour Market Priorities Stream was first opened on 2nd, August and it gave out its first invites to candidates of the Express Entry who had working experience with children on 8th, August.

Category A is open to all through the year unlike Category B to candidates with a full-time job from an employer in Nova Scotia. The Nova Scotia Experience just like Category A is open all through the year but only enrolls applicants with at least one-year skilled work experience.

The grand re-opening of Category B on the 17th of November initiated its operations one after the other as they applicants trouped in and the exercise was concluded in no time just like other years.
