On the 1st of March, Manitoba hosted its third Expression of Interest (EOI) draw for the year, merely three weeks after the last one. During the invitation round, 403 applicants were invited to apply for nomination by the province for Permanent Residence.
With this invitation round, the number of applicants who have received invitations from the province of Manitoba to apply for Permanent Residence in Canada has gotten to 2,267.
Qualified applicants were required to have registered a profile in the Provincial Nominee Program of Manitoba, either under its Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education or Skilled Workers Overseas Stream.
The first step towards receiving a Provincial Nomination is to submit an Expression of Interest Profile, including those who have an Expression of Interest profile.
Applicants are scored based on components like age, education, Language Proficiency, Work Experience and adaptability to the country. Candidates who earn the highest points are given a Letter of Advice to Apply in Regular Draws.
There were 216 Skilled Workers Overseas applicants who were given Letters of Advice to Apply, and some of them were Express Entry Candidates.
Candidates who received Letters of Advice to Apply were expected to have a job seeker validation code, Express Entry ID, and a minimum of six months’ work experience in an in-demand occupation in Manitoba.
When applicants are invited by a province, 600 points are added to their comprehensive ranking score.

Aside from the Skilled workers that were given Letters of Advice to Apply, another group of applicants that received invitations was those with the following eligibility requirements;
- Adaptability to Manitoba, via the presence of a close relative in the Province, work or academic experience.
